History repeated itself in Friday’s finale to the CoBank Colorado Women’s Open.
As she did in 2013, Becca Huffer overcame a five-shot deficit in the final round to win the event in a playoff. This time, however, the LPGA rookie from Denver faced a seemingly insurmountable task. Going into the final hole, she trailed the leader—17-year-old Yealimi Noh of Concord, Calif.—by three strokes.

As seen in the July 2018 edition of Colorado AvidGolfer, the 54th CoBank Colorado Open kicks off from Green Valley Ranch on July 26th. 2017 Champion Jonathan Kaye looks to hold off one of the toughest fields in recent memory. Slated to compete this year are Notah Begay III, Ben Portie, Kevin Stadler and Neil Johnson. Also included are looks inside the Senior Open with the likes of John Riegger and Doug Rohrbaugh and the Women’s Open including competitors like Liz Breed, Jennifer Kupcho and Karlin Beck.
