FORE App: Simple and Social

Track scores and connect with other golfers using FORE!

FORE!

UPDATE: The Fore App Kickstarter campaign successfully raised the full $15,000 amount needed to fund the project. Congratulations and good luck!

About 28 million people play golf in the U.S., and about 380,000 of them are right here in Colorado. With a Kickstarter campaign ending today at 9:35 PM EST, two Colorado brothers are less than $1,500 away from funding a project in which they hope to take the game of golf into the digital age with a social golf app, FORE.

The Busteed brothers—Chris, the president of a premium trim and cabinetry company and Shawn, Chief Growth Officer at Terrasse Atelier—play a minimum of 54 holes a week with their father Pat, a high school golf coach in Fort Collins. With the funding from this Kickstarter campaign, they hope to fully develop a location-based, electronic tracking and scoring app in which any golfer can record stroke totals with one motion.

With the rise of social media influence and expansive digital networks, the Busteed brothers believe it's time the game of golf becomes integrated into these spaces. When finished, FORE will allow you not only to track scores but also:

  • Know your game — the app tracks a variety of stats in every round you've played as well as accomplishments.
  • Make everyday a tournament – use the leaderboard to change how you connect to other golfers.
  • Win real world rewards — win a bucket of driving range balls or discounts in the pro shop.

The current Kickstarter campaign aims to raise $15,000. However, stretch goals reach up to $75,000, when that goal is achieved the ability for users to book rounds at local courses can and will be developed.
