To jar two double eagles in a single round is a record that now only three golfers in the history of the game can claim. On Saturday, September 3, Colorado Golf Club member David West became the third member of that oddsdefying group when he holed his 3-wood second shot on the par-5 seventh hole and then repeated the feat at the par-5 16th with an 8-iron. He joins Norman Manley and Patrick Wills as the only golfers to bag two albatrosses in a single round. West knows something about clutch shots. He’s the son of NBA legend Jerry West.
