The 2020 Mile High Golf Trail Fore Pack is so much more than an amazing opportunity to play.
The Purpose
Yes, if you purchase the 2020 Mile High Golf Trail Fore Pack, you will be able to play four of the top courses in the Denver region at a discounted price. But, the Fore Pack is much more than great golf–it provides an avenue with which to show appreciation for and give back to our military veterans.
The men and women who proudly go forward to protect our freedom don’t ask for recognition, or even a thank you for their service–but they deserve acknowledgement. Instead of a simple gesture, gratitude can be shown in other, more meaningful ways. The team at Southwest Greens of Colorado believes a free home is more appropriate.
In 2018 and in partnership with the Colorado PGA Section, Southwest Greens of Colorado created the Mile High Golf Trail Fore Pack with that very goal in mind. A portion of the Fore Pack’s revenue is donated to fund a mortgage-free home for one Colorado wounded veteran each year. That tradition is now going strong in its third year. On July 29, The Golf Club at Bear Dance will host its third PGA Reach Foundation Pro-Am where the keys of another mortgage-free home will be gifted to the 2020 recipient.

Stuart Bruening, the General Manager of the Golf Club at Bear Dance and a co-owner of Southwest Greens, was questioned about the motivation behind the impactful tradition and why it’s been so successful in its early years.
“We are very fortunate to have the loyalty and support of our golfers for many years, operating the best daily-fee golf courses in Colorado,” said Bruening. “This is our way to say to our Colorado Veterans: We care, and thank you for all you do.”
Through this one-of-a-kind initiative, you, the Colorado golfer, can do your part to show your appreciation for the unimaginable sacrifices Colorado veterans and their families have made. All you have to do is golf.
