Vilaubi survives two-hole playoff for first Epson Tour Victory

Savannah Vilaubi, the California-based professional and 2021 Colorado Women’s Open champion, won the Epson Tour’s Copper Rock Championship in Hurricane, Utah, last weekend.
Vilaubi won in a three-way playoff over former University of Colorado golfer Jenny Coleman and Therese Warner. Vilaubi opened the tournament with a course-record 63 and won over Coleman and Warner in a two-hole playoff. Vilaubi took home $34,500 with the win.

“Putts just dropped today, and I simply hit fairways and hit greens,” Vilaubi said after her first round. “The putts just happened to go in. It was really simple. It was one of those things where the ball ends up close to the hole. Proximity has kind of been a struggle of mine for the last few weeks, and it came together today.”

Vilaubi is among the players returning to Green Valley Ranch Golf Club in June to vie for the 2023 Inspirato Colorado Women’s Open. The winner takes the $100,000 first prize. Vilaubi and another former winner, Clariss Guce, have signed up for the tournament that takes place June 14 to 16.
