Playing Pinehurst Country Club through the Scratch Society

The Scratch Society season in Colorado kicks off May 18

The 2026 Scratch Society season, presented by Colorado AvidGolfer, kicks off May 18 at Pinehurst Country Club.

The Scratch Society is a new initiative by Colorado AvidGolfer to give members access to private clubs throughout the front range. Kicking off with Pinehurst Country Club, the Colorado tournament series is designed to let players of any level enjoy a day on the region’s best courses playing with friends old and new.

“We heard from our members that one of the things they wanted from us more than anything was help getting tee times and access at some of the region’s best courses and private country clubs,” said Allen Walters, president and publisher of Colorado AvidGolfer. “We shaped our new Scratch Society schedule for Colorado to give them just that.”

Players can compete against each other, play as teams in a scramble format, or play just for individual score.

Other Scratch Society tournaments in Colorado will be held throughout the summer:

  • June 8 – Valley Country Club, Centennial
  • July 6 – Blackstone Country Club, Parker
  • Sept. 21 – The Ranch Country Club, Westminster
  • Oct. 19 – Kissing Camels, Colorado Springs
