Three Colorado kids took on the world at the 2024 Drive, Chip and Putt Championship at Augusta National

Colorado golfers did well in the 2024 Drive, Chip and Putt competition in the finals held April 7 at Augusta National. Landry Frost of Colorado Springs won the chipping competition for girls ages 14 to 15 and finished fourth out of the 10 finalists. Frost plays out of Kissing Camels Golf Course at the Garden of the Gods Club.

“I have been walking on a golf course with my Dad since I was about 2 years old,” she said.

Meanwhile, Simon White of Colorado Springs finished ninth in the boys 14 to 15 age group, scoring best in the putting competition. A student of instructor Anne Finke, White plays his golf at Cheyenne Shadows Golf Course In Fort Carson.

Additionally, Sydney Liddell of Parker made the finals in the girls’ ages 7 to 9 competition. Liddell started playing at the age of 4, learning from her father, and her home course is Valley Country Club in Centennial.
