Meet Scott McCarron This Saturday (Your Back Will Thank You)

On Saturday, August 3, the No. 1 player on the PGA TOUR Champions’ Charles Schwab Cup Money List will visit the PGA TOUR Superstore on Arapahoe Road in Greenwood Village.

Scott McCarron, 54, who has notched three of his 11 victories on the senior circuit this year, will arrive at 10 a.m. for a 30-minute shot clinic and then meet and greet fans until 1 p.m., giving tips on how he stays healthy and rested during the long professional golf season.

Can CBD products help your game like they helped Scott McCarron's?

McCarron ascribes much of his recent success to CBD oil—specifically the full-spectrum type produced by Colorado’s Functional Remedies.

“I’ve been using Functional Remedies EndoSport since the start of the season,” says McCarron, who now serves as a brand ambassador for the product. “It’s become such a vital part of my routine that I can’t imagine training and competing without the benefit of it.”

McCarron is not alone. More than 90 players on the PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions use Functional Remedies EndoSport hemp oil as part of their daily routines.

Get the Same Benefits as the Pros

As the sponsor of Saturday’s event at the PGA TOUR SuperStore, Functional Remedies will have representatives there from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to answer your questions and provide samples. They will also stage multiple contests and games throughout the day.

One of the reps is Steve Patterson, the 2016 Colorado PGA Teacher of the Year and current Director of EndoSport Sales.

“Anecdotally, golfers who try it tell me all the time that they’re experiencing less pain, soreness and inflammation, recovering faster and feeling calmer,” he says.

The reason? Cannabidiol, known as CBD, a non-psychoactive chemical compound found in hemp plants that possesses anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-anxiety properties. Whereas marijuana, hemp’s cousin, can have as much as 40 percent of the psychoactive chemical THC, the CBD-rich hemp plant’s THC percentage is a minuscule .03 percent—and the legal limit found in any CBD product on the market today.Scott McCarron & Functional Remedies

And there are many of those products. However, FR EndoSport differs from other commercially available CBD-oil products in that it comes from the company’s own phytonutrient-rich strains of hemp cultivated over 25 years. Then, using its proprietary lipid-based process, the company extracts all those phytonutrients to produce the oil—including cannabinoids like CBD and THC.

That leads to another differentiator. Functional Remedies’ balms, capsules and tinctures are also “full-spectrum” (whereas most others are “broad spectrum” or “isolates” without THC). Since the dozens of cannabinoids in the hemp plant work synergistically, removing any of them—even THC—diminishes their therapeutic benefits. “We produce the full expression of the plant,” says Patterson.

In a sport that abounds in TLAs (three-letter acronyms) like GIR, GUR, COR, MOI, RPM and DFL, none is becoming more ubiquitous than CBD. And when one of the top senior players in the world swears by the stuff, you owe it to yourself to find out why.

See you Saturday.
