GOLFTEC Helps Veterans With Every Lesson This Month

Worldwide leader in golf improvement teams up with PGA HOPE to support our vets.

Veteran’s Day is November 11. Is one day enough to salute those who served in our military? At GOLFTEC, November is Veteran’s Month.

The Colorado-based world leader in golf improvement and club fitting is honoring our veterans and military throughout November with its new DRIVE FOR HOPE campaign, supporting PGA HOPE and the military. DRIVE FOR HOPE is a charity campaign where GOLFTEC will make a $1 donation for every lesson given, combined with generous public donations, during the the penultimate month of the year.

With GOLFTEC lessons given at 220 locations across the world, that number could add up very quickly. All proceeds will be donated to PGA HOPE. The goal of DRIVE FOR HOPE is to raise more than $100,000 through lessons and donations.

“We couldn’t be more excited about the DRIVE FOR HOPE campaign,” said GOLFTEC CEO, Joe Assell. “Our military and veterans are heroes to every community. We are proud to be supporting PGA HOPE and making a difference with every lesson we give.”

The DRIVE FOR HOPE campaign comes on the heels of the recent PGA HOPE National Golf and Wellness Week at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland that took place last month. GOLFTEC sent team members to participate in the four-day program which provides advanced golf instruction and wellness training, helping veterans assimilate back into their communities through the social interaction the game provides.

“We are very proud of the work that PGA Professionals have done through PGA HOPE, and GOLFTEC, as one of the largest employers of PGA Professionals, has been so supportive of this cause,” said PGA of America CEO, Seth Waugh. “We are extremely appreciative of GOLFTEC’s campaign efforts, especially because DRIVE FOR HOPE and PGA HOPE both work to serve the military and Veterans through the game of golf.”

PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is the flagship military program of PGA REACH, the charitable foundation of the PGA of America. PGA HOPE introduces golf to Veterans with disabilities to enhance their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being.

GOLFTEC’s DRIVE FOR HOPE military campaign is part of GOLFTEC Cares, a charitable initiative with a mission to unite communities through golf and drive the game towards greater accessibility, diversity, and long-lasting charitable impact. With over $2 million in charitable giving in 2020, GOLFTEC is aiming for an even greater impact through 2021 and beyond.

In addition to the DRIVE FOR HOPE campaign, GOLFTEC is always proud to support all military personnel by offering a 10 percent discount on GOLFTEC lessons, through the GOLFTEC Military Program.
