Furthering the Green: Rounds 4 Research Aims for Better Course Conditions

What’s the top driver of golfer satisfaction? Pace of play? Price? Tee-time availability?

No, no and no.

According to multiple surveys conducted by different golf organizations, course conditions rank atop most golfers’ checklists.

Well, instead of complaining to the starter about bumpy putts or fungal fairways, do something about them.

Bid on a foursome through Rounds 4 Research, an online auction sponsored locally by the Rocky Mountain Environmental Golf Institute—the philanthropic arm of the Rocky Mountain Golf Course Superintendents Association.

More than 560 rounds from courses across the U.S. (including Colorado’s Black Bear, Blackstone and Flying Horse), Canada and Switzerland are available to the highest bidder. All proceeds from the auction go to furthering efforts in the areas of research, water conservancy, environmental stewardship, advocacy and education.

“Where would the golf industry be had it not invested in agronomic research over the years?” asks RMGCSA executive Director Gary Leeper. “There is no doubt the playing conditions would not be as enjoyable for golfers, environmental stewardship would suffer and operations would lack the efficiency to ensure a profitable facility. So golfers and golf facilities are the ultimate beneficiaries of all funds raised.”

The bidding begins April 1 and ends April 10, 2016 at 8:00 PM MDT.

Visit Rounds4Research.com and let the bidding begin.
