Founded in 1922, Cherry Hills Country Club was designed by William Flynn. It has been the site of three U.S. Opens, two PGA Championships and other prestigious professional and amateur competitions. Tournaments contested at Cherry Hills have produced a legendary group of champions, which includes Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Phil Mickelson, among others.

“Cherry Hills Country Club will provide spectators with an intimate golf experience unlike any other,” said WGA Vice President of Tournaments, Vince Pellegrino. “Colorado sports fans are hungry for a golf experience of this caliber after waiting almost 30 years for PGA TOUR players to return to Cherry Hills, so we expect a tremendous demand for tickets with only a limited number available.”

All net proceeds from the BMW Championship benefit the Evans Scholars Foundation, which funds college scholarships for caddies. Since the scholarship’s inception in 1930, over 10,000 deserving caddies have earned an education at one of 19 universities in the program nationwide. The BMW Championship has raised over $14 million for the Evans Scholars since the tournament’s inception in 2007. George Solich, the 2014 BMW Championship’s General Chairman, was an Evans Scholar at the University of Colorado.

“As an Evans Scholar Alumnus, I am excited that tickets are now on sale to an event that raises money for such a great cause,” said Solich. “Golf fans can feel good about attending the 2014 BMW Championship. Spectators will witness a top-tier golf event featuring the top 70 golfers in the world, while also opening doors for deserving caddies across the country through the Evans Scholars Foundation.”
