Fossil Trace Golf Club, located in Golden, Colorado, is just 20 minutes west of downtown Denver, nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The course features a rolling topography, with large, undulating fairways and greens complemented by treacherous greenside and fairway bunkers. The course opened approximately 64 million years after the first dinosaurs walked where Holes 11-15 now sit. Triceratops footprints, as well as other prehistoric creatures’ fossils, can be viewed adjacent to the golf course’s 12th green. Hole 12 has been named in Golf Digest’s Most Fun Golf Holes in America.
Founded in 1982, the Arvada Food Bank, now known as Community Table, began distributing food out of a small house in Arvada. In the fiscal year ending in 2024, Community Table distributed 1,685,770 pounds of food, served 118,904 people, provided weekend food for 21,771 individuals, and logged 33,657 volunteer hours. Community Table now serves neighbors in need across the northern Denver metro area, including Arvada, Wheat Ridge, Golden, Westminster, Thornton, North Denver, Federal Heights, and surrounding communities.
Community Table is now moving locations and renovating a building in order to provide more food and better community engagement. The new location of Community Table is 4600 West 60th Ave. Arvada, Colorado. Community Table opened its new facility on July 8, 2025. This new building provides more room, more support, and more hope. Community Table hopes to build a place where no one goes hungry.
The Arvada Community Food Bank Foundation, a 501(c)(3), was started 11 years ago to raise money for The Arvada Food Bank (“Community Table”). The sole purpose for the Foundation is to raise money by this golf classic for Community Table.
So far, the Foundation has raised $800,000 for Community Table. This year, we are hoping our donation will push us over the $1,000,000 mark. All funds, except expenses for the classic, go directly to Community Table.
The format of the tournament is a 4-person Scramble with a cost of $1,000 per team. Included in that cost are prizes for men and women, drink tickets, swag bags, breakfast burritos, and a buffet lunch. The event will kick off with registration at 7:00 am and a shotgun start at 8:00 am. We look forward to seeing you to help Drive Away Hunger!
