Just 30 minutes west of Vail, Eagle Ranch Golf Club is an 18-hole Arnold Palmer Signature Design that is easy to get to, but off the beaten path. Set in the majestic Rocky Mountains, the course is a destination for visitors to the Vail Valley, but also a favorite for those who live, work, and play in this family-friendly mountain community.
Eagle Ranch Golf Club is popular for its challenging links-style layout, excellent course conditions, and spacious practice facility. The course caters to golfers of all abilities with seven sets of tees and sits at a lower elevation than most mountain courses, allowing for a longer golf season, from early April to mid-November. By just overlapping with ski season, some locals love trying to “ski & tee” on the same day.
The knowledgeable employees, from the outside attendants and golf shop staff to the grounds crew and grille servers, strive to provide the friendliest service. Betsy Cochrane is a 21-year veteran, working at Eagle Ranch Golf Club since it opened in 2001. When she’s not in the Clubhouse taking care of guests, she’s playing the course herself on a weekly basis. “I like working at Eagle Ranch because we have the nicest and happiest staff in the county. And that, in turn, brings us the nicest and happiest golfers from around the country,” she says.
Eagle Ranch Golf Club and its staff support several competitive tournaments and scrambles, host women’s clinics, junior golf events and practices, and is a founding partner in The First Tee of Colorado Rocky Mountains Chapter, which aims to educate and inspire youth through the game of golf.
In addition, there are several PGA instructors on staff who give private and group lessons, helping to motivate and teach golfers of all abilities how to elevate their game.
Eagle Ranch Golf Club is in the picturesque small town of Eagle, CO.
