Colorado’s GolfTEC Ranked Among Fastest-Growing U.S. Companies

Centennial, Colo.  – For the fourth time, GolfTEC, the world leader in golf improvement, has made the “Inc. 5000” list of fastest-growing private companies in America, as named by Inc. Magazine.

Listed among the “Consumer Products & Services” companies, GolfTEC is ranked No. 4,257 overall and will be among the honorees at the 32nd annual Inc. 5000 Conference and Awards Ceremony, scheduled for October in Washington, D.C.

“It is extremely satisfying and always exciting for GolfTEC to be regarded among the most innovative companies in the world,” said GolfTEC CEO Joe Assell.  “We are devoted to helping golfers improve and have more fun playing the game.  Their success has been our success, and it’s our business to continue to make a positive impact on the growth of the game.”

GolfTEC gives more than 25 percent of all private golf lessons in North America annually and has a 95 percent success rate among its students. The 600 GolfTEC Certified Personal Coaches at 180 centers worldwide, including 70+ within Golfsmith stores, have given more than 4 million lessons since 1995.

“The achievement puts GolfTEC in an elite group that, over the years, has included companies such as Microsoft, Timberland, Vizio, Intuit and Oracle,” said Eric Schurenberg, Editor in Chief of Inc. Magazine.

The complete “Inc. 5000” list is published in the September issue of Inc. Magazine.  Within their niches, the ranked companies are “as innovative and service-oriented as the most beloved household names,” the magazine writes.  “They earn reputations simply by virtue of how well they do what they do.”

This year’s list measures revenue growth from 2009 through 2012.  Companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2009; be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent; minimum revenue required for 2009 is $100,000; the minimum for 2012 is $2 million.
