A Hall of Fame-Worthy Course Lineup

Colorado Golf Hall of Fame auctioning off access to premier courses

By Jon Rizzi

Bid on a constellation of stellar courses at the Colorado Golf Hall of Fame’s online auction.

The Colorado Golf Hall of Fame museum at The Broadmoor not only celebrates the men and women who have defined the game; it also pays tribute the great Colorado courses on which its inductees have excelled.

So this year, leading up to its annual golf tournament on July 8, the Hall is conducting an online auction for rounds at some of the foremost clubs in the Centennial State.

From now until July 8, you can bid on foursomes at courses you’d normally need a member number to play: The Broadmoor, Sanctuary, Cherry Creek, Frost Creek, Pinehurst, Boulder Country Club, Colorado Springs Country Club, Rolling Hills and Kissing Camels Club at the Garden of the Gods.

TPC Colorado

Rounds on any of these venues—as well as Fossil Trace, TPC Colorado and the Western Slope’s Battlement Mesa and Rifle Creek—provide the perfect complement to the golf-course partners in the Colorado AvidGolfer Golf Passport. So do bonus rounds in the mountains at Keystone and Pole Creek.

Sanctuary Golf Course

Players who prefer their golf without UV rays and triple-digit temps can bid on time at a half dozen indoor centers. There are also Rockies tickets and prime seats at Folsom Field for CU’s October 12 game versus the Kansas State Wildcats.

You don’t have to sign up for the tournament in order to bid. “We’ve had silent and live auctions for participants in past tournaments, but this year we wanted to involve the entire Colorado golf community in the Colorado Golf Hall of Fame,” Tournament Committee Chair Steve Czarnecki says. “Many of our inductees played out of the courses in the auction—and not everyone has the chance to get on them. This gives them that opportunity.”
