A $50 Million Shark Tank

Greg Norman's Seven Lakes Ranch - Meeker, Colorado
ROOM TO SPARE: Norman’s ranch covers 18 square miles.

For $50 million, golf icon Greg Norman’s 11,600-acre Seven Lakes Ranch near Meeker could be yours. Assembled from three properties the Great White Shark purchased between 2000 and 2004–including the 244-acre Seven Lakes Lodge and the adjacent 3,000-acre Pollard Ranch–the two-time Open champion’s spread features a 14,000-square-foot Gordon Pierce-designed main lodge with eight bedrooms and nine bathrooms. Six guest cabins, four staff cabins and a four-bedroom hunting lodge dot the tract, which covers nearly five times the area occupied by the town of Aspen, roughly 130 miles away.

Norman cut $5 million off the price at which he’d listed it three years ago. The lodge boasts panoramic views of the White River Valley and multiple lakes. The property offers private elk and white-tailed deer hunting, horseback riding, hiking, nordic skiing, boating, paddle boarding, as well as sporting clays and long-range rifle courses. Two miles of trout-rich White River frontage lure fly-casters. To ensure a buyer’s enjoyment of this outdoorsman’s paradise, Norman will throw in farm and ranch equipment, furnishings, boats, snowmobiles, mountain bikes, two dozen horses, skiing and snowshoeing equipment–everything, apparently, except golf clubs.
