Popular Scottsdale destination adds accommodations on site

Troon North Golf Club, a popular north Scottsdale 36-hole golf complex, announced it is adding its first on-site accommodations in 2026.

The club is a public-play option with two popular 18-hole courses on the grounds. Now Troon North is adding two-and-four bedroom suites designed for visiting golf foursomes. The 26 suites are being built within walking distance to the main clubhouse and first tees.
“Scottsdale Golf Retreat at Troon North will be an iconic property that fills a void in the North Scottsdale market where guests can enjoy luxurious lodging, an amazing guest experience and the ultimate in golf play all at one location,” said Mike Anderson with MBA Development Partners, a Scottdale-based real estate development group.
MBA will manage the Retreat in partnership with Troon.

Troon is headed by CEO Tim Schantz, a Denver native, and is the largest golf management company in the world. It manages more than 940 courses in 53 countries.
Troon North’s Monument Course opened in 1990, designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Moorish, and they followed five years later with the Pinnacle Course.
Troon said it plans to offer stay-and-play options for guests of the suites with packages for rounds at Troon North as well as other Troon properties around Scottsdale. Scottsdale has long been a golf mecca in the winter and Troon’s efforts are the latest by companies seeking to capitalize on the golf boom and travel golf.
Many of the public-play courses that are marketed as national destinations that have opened in recent years have guest rooms already built and available.
