Copper Rock Golf Course will play host to the 2022 Copper Rock Championship, one of the premier events on the golf calendar for the LPGA Epson Tour. The Epson Tour is the breeding ground for the LPGA’s next superstars, a place where up-and-coming women golfers showcase their skills to try to earn the most coveted accessory in pro golf: An LPGA Tour Card.

For the second straight year, from April 21-23rd, the three-day Copper Rock Championship event will welcome 120 of the world’s best women golfers from 30 different countries, as they vie for the $30,000 top prize of the $200,000 purse. Last year’s champion, Bailey Tardy, scorched the Copper Rock fairways with a 10-under-par, three day combined score of 206.

The LPGA Epson Tour has graduated 11 Major tournament winners in the past nine years, including Nelly Korda, who won the PGA Championship in 2021 plus a gold medal in the individual golf event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Others who have made the successful leap from the Epson to the Tour include World Golf Hall of Fame members Lorena Ochoa and Karrie Webb.
