For several years, golfers have been coming to the Greenwood Village offices of TruFIT20 for help getting fit.
Owner Christie Taylor offers the TruFIT20 strength training method, delivering individualized workouts built around a slow-rep philosophy. The goal: help participants meet strength goals with one to two weekly sessions lasting just 20 to 30 minutes.
Each workout includes a personal trainer, with reps lasting eight to 12 seconds. While some exercises and machines may look familiar, the slow pace activates muscles in new ways. The first appointment includes a thorough consultation to assess a client’s full physical health and safety needs. The second provides a full-body assessment to determine current ability, goals, and the right plan moving forward.
For golfers, programs often focus on strengthening the back, improving rotation, and building the obliques-the abdominal muscles along the sides of the torso. “I’ve had a lot of them say, ‘I want to be on the course more than in the gym,”‘ Taylor said. “This is a quick, efficient way to get strong and do what they love more often.”
The facility (5350 S. Roslyn St. #350) features 14 pieces of equipment, plus space for Pilates training. “It’s not like a gym; it’s different,” she said.
The studio centers on one-on-one strength training using a safe, proven slow-movement method-helping clients build strength and improve health in one or two weekly 20-minute sessions. TruFIT20’s high-intensity slow movement training delivers results in less time with a low risk of injury.
Using specialized equipment, it focuses on pure muscle loading-no momentum, acceleration, or force. Programs are customized to each client, with benefits including increased strength, boosted metabolism, and improved overall well-being-often in just a few sessions. Many clients can even work out in regular clothes, making it easy to fit into a busy day.
TruFIT20 takes a client-centered, collaborative approach to overall health, offering expertise in Pilates, stretching, nutrition, and integrative health coaching, along with therapies ranging from deep tissue hot laser to ion cleanse foot baths. Counselors work closely with clients to determine what best fits their health and goals.
