Faces of the Game: Vic Lombardi

Colorado golf’s ambassador

By Jim Bebbington

Altitude Sports’ Vic Lombardi sat down with Colorado AvidGolfer’s Michael Colander to discuss the best golfer/athletes he’s covered, nerves playing at the BMW Championship pro-am, and sinking an all-time putt at Castle Pines Golf Club.

A Colorado native, Lombardi has worked as a television and radio host in South Bend, Austin, Phoenix and was the sports anchor for Denver CBS4. Lombardi is a 32-time Emmy award winner, 16 for Best Sports Anchor and was voted 2018 Colorado Sportscaster of the Year. He is co-host of the Altitude Sports Radio 92.5 morning show.

He attended the University of Colorado and graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1991. He lives in Denver with his wife, Terri, and three children.
