The annual Colorado stop by the top players in the PGA Tour’s developmental league has a new name.

The PGA Tour released the Korn Ferry Tour’s 2026 schedule on Monday and the July 6 to 12 stop at TPC Colorado is now called The Blue Championship.

Known in recent years as the Ascendant presented by Blue, the tournament has been rebranded after Blue Federal Credit Union became the event’s title sponsor.

The tournament held at TPC Colorado Golf Cllub in Berthoud has been voted by the players best tournament on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2021 and 2023. The tournament draws good weekend crowds and the organization for players and patrons earns high marks.

The competition can also routinely add drama. The 2025 event was won by Neal Shipley who came from eight strokes back on Sunday to win his second tournament of the year. Shipley and 2022 champion Dou Zecheng both earned their cards for next season’s PGA Tour by finishing in the Top 20 of Korn Ferry players in season-long points.
