New title sponsor heads popular July Korn Ferry stop
The Korn Ferry Tour event held each July at TPC Colorado in Berthoud has a new title sponsor and a new name: the Blue Championship.

The four-day Korn Ferry tournament this year is July 9 to 12 and is in its eighth year. The tournament carries a $1 million purse and is part of the Korn Ferry season which leads to the top 20 Tour players earning their cards to next year’s PGA Tour.
The Blue Championship launched its new website this week, theBlueChampionship.com, and announced that the event will now be managed by Ohio-based event company HNS Sports Group. The group operates golf tournaments including the PGA Tour’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, The Memorial and the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
“HNS is excited to contribute to the continued growth of The Blue Championship, both on the Korn Ferry Tour and in the state of Colorado,” Kip Eriksen, HNS Sports Group, said.
The tournament has become a steady draw among Korn Ferry events, with the Sunday final round typically drawing large crowds. Last year’s tournament was won by Neal Shipley, who is among the top-20 Korn Ferry graduates from 2025 who are now on the PGA Tour.
Many PGA Tour pros came through the Korn Ferry system and competed at TPC Colorado, including Scottie Scheffler and 2019 winner Will Zalatoris.
The tournament began as the TPC Colorado Championship and became the Ascendant presented by Blue from 2022 to last year. Now Colorado-based Blue Federal Credit Union is the title sponsor.
