Colorado Getaways 2022: Eagle Ranch Golf Club

Eagle Ranch Golf Course

Scoring in Eagle

NOW IN ITS 22nd season, Eagle Ranch Golf Club has firmly established itself as one of the best and most affordable courses in golf-rich Eagle County.

The anchor of a residential community that has grown up 30 minutes west of Vail in the quaint town of Eagle, this Arnold Palmer Signature Design spans 5,423 to 7,461 yards, reflecting Palmer’s belief that courses be enjoyable for everyone and competitive enough for the pros (and Colorado Open qualifiers). More of a links-style than a mountain layout, Eagle Ranch features long native grasses along its wide, mounded fairways. Water—in the form of two ponds and the sinuous Brush Creek—comes into play on 10 holes, creating numerous risk-reward options. Sitting at “only” 6,600 feet, the course opened in March and usually remains that way until Thanksgiving.

High-season rates just recently cracked the century mark, but twilight golfers still can get a full 18 for $75. The eminently walkable course boasts generous greens and views of the Sawatch Range, Flat Tops and Castle Peak.
