The Country Club at Castle Pines Keeps Rising

Just four years ago, the Country Club at Castle Pines began an impressive shift in elevating every aspect of the member experience at the Club.

Guided by the Board of Directors, the Club began with the formation of a highly gifted and accomplished Executive Team followed by significant investments in 2016-17 to the already spectacular Jack Nicklaus Signature Course. Now into its fourth decade, the Club completed a facility master plan study in 2018 and the Club’s members are looking into the future by discussing opportunities designed to enhance and expand the unique experiences at the Club.

A Golf Experience Unlike Any Other in Denver

The iconic Clubhouse and Hole #1 sit at nearly 7000 feet at the summit of the Village at Castle Pines. Often confused with Castle Pines Golf Club which hosted the International Golf Tournament until 2006, The Country Club at Castle Pines creates a unique and intimate golf experience within a spectacular mountain landscape unlike any other Country Club in the Denver area. Weaving its way from the summit through pine forest to the valley and back again, the course Jack Nicklaus laid out here is simply breathtaking. As the course enters the third full season after resurfacing of all 18 greens, members are incredibly excited to share the rewards of their investment with their friends and their guests.

Awards & Accolades

We are always honored to be selected by the readers of Colorado AvidGolfer in multiple categories including this year’s “Best Golf Course Community.” In 2019, the Club was nationally recognized for the exceptional golf culture that is created here. The Club garnered coveted industry awards including “Best of the Best – Golf Shops” at the PGA Merchandise show where only five private Clubs in the country receive the honor. The Club was also chosen as the location for Dunning Golf to photograph its 2019 Catalog featuring European Tour Winner and Ryder Cup Member, Nicolas Colsaerts.

The Club’s accolades don’t end with just golf. In 2018, Executive Chef, Joe Martin was appointed the inaugural member of Golf Channel’s Chef Advisory Board which is focused on bringing Country Club Chefs together to collaborate in creating new ways to attract members as well as stay relevant in the quickly changing private Club industry. Chef Martin was recently filmed demonstrating some of his signature items to be utilized nationwide in bringing other clubs into the initiative. Chef Martin has shared his cuisine with Governor Hickenlooper and his personal guests and next month will be one of 21 featured chefs for the Flavors of Denver fundraising event for the Liver Foundation.

Growing the Game

Member programs couldn’t be better with Andrew Hedrick, Head Golf Professional along with the Club’s 4 other professionals on staff continuing to strengthen the opportunities available for every age and stage of life. 2019 saw Tara Morris promoted to the Club’s Teaching Professional role. Tara is a natural teacher and great player. She won the 2018 Colorado PGA Women’s Championship and is one of the prime reasons the Country Club can boast over 175 active women involved in programs, leagues and events. She now oversees the instructional programming the Club offers to all men, women, couples, and children.
