It’s over! Colorado’s ludicrously warm fall has finally given sway to Old Man Winter’s relentless snow and cold weather shenanigans. It’s high time for a road trip to delightfully sunny Scottsdale, where everyone shoots in the 80s — if not on the scorecard then most certainly in the Sonoran Desert-warmed temperatures.
Scottsdale is a favored respite for Rocky Mountain Snowbirds. The chic destination is famously underscored by a seemingly endless supply of outdoor recreation, five-star resort properties, James Beard-worthy restaurants and superlative shopping — plus more than 200 regional golf courses, many of which are listed among America’s very best.
Still, despite all these riches, one amenity has always been absent from the celebrated Scottsdale golf experience… but that’s about to change. As of this winter, thanks to the efforts of Scottsdale-based Troon, golfers will be offered the timeless, Tour-styled thrills and traditions of playing with a professional golf caddy.
“For decades Scottsdale has been a premier golf experience,” says Troon VP of Sales and Marketing Kris Strauss, “but what’s been missing is a first-tier caddy program. With our recent acquisition of CADDIEMASTER, that’s all about to change.”
CADDIEMASTER is a savvy addition for Troon, long regarded a world leader in golf property management, agronomy, hospitality and customer service. CADDIEMASTER employs more than 1,500 caddies at 50 courses across the United States and abroad, including Pinehurst Resorts, Whistling Straits, Pebble Beach, Sea Island, Inverness, Medinah, PGA Tour properties and GlenEagles.
“These men and women are really good at their craft,” says Strauss about CADDIEMASTER’s certified caddies. “All are consummate professionals who know the tricks and challenges of these amazing golf courses.”
“If you’ve ever played golf with a caddie, you know how much more enjoyable it makes a round of golf,” he says. “The new CADDIEMASTER service will not only elevate your golf experience, but it will also greatly enhance Scottsdale as a golf destination.”
The program includes forecaddie, double bag and single bag options, ranging from $30 to $100 per player, plus gratuity.
