Steakhouse 10 and Bistro King

Steakhouse 10

Owned by members of the same Kallas family that owns Undici is an unpretentious steakhouse with a retro dark and cozy ambience. Ask the super- friendly wait staff for seating in the Alibi Room upstairs to bask in some Rat Pack décor. Don’t resist the saganaki appetizer, which reflects the owners’ Greek heritage—it’s battered cheese that is fried to a golden brown, and then presented tableside in a brandy flambe. Steakhouse 10 uses Sterling aged meat for their quality steaks, served with all the trimmings. Consider the Gangster Steak—a seasoned New York strip that’s charbroiled and topped with sautéed peppers, onions, mushrooms and kalamata olives that have been deglazed with cognac. Fuhgedabowdit!

Bistro King

This is the go-to place for Asian cuisine in the Englewood area. A Chinese, Thai and Sushi restaurant, it proffers a menu that rates as a short book, with a long list of classic dishes (they make a mean Sesame Chicken) and specialties from Red Curry and Scallops to Panang Chicken. Long live the king.
