Get to Bandon Dunes Faster

New non-stop flights are now being offered from Denver to North Bend

Every golfer must make at least one pilgrimage to Bandon Dunes. Although some relish the circuitous journey to the remote Oregon coast resort, most would be happy if there were a more direct route than flying to Portland or Bend and driving another four hours.

Well, that direct route just materialized. Just in time for peak season, United announced the start of a new direct flight from DIA to Southwest Oregon Regional Airport in North Bend, Oregon.

The news is already gaining attention – and praise – from golfers who have encountered weather issues while connecting in San Francisco and Portland.

Anonymous: This is great news and long overdue. Eight of us made the trip last year, four flew into SFO and we're stuck in the city because the connecting flight into Bend had been cancelled. The other group flew into Portland and had to drive four hours. Well done United! via

Once passengers land in North Bend, Bandon is just 35-minute drive.

The new offering also opens up a convenient DIA connection for both national and international travelers east of Colorado.

“We are very excited about the newest flight option for golfers coming to Bandon Dunes Golf Resort,” said General Manager Hank Hickox. “This service is providing great opportunity and convenience to not only our loyal customers but to those who have yet to visit our facility.”

United’s non-stop service will offer round-trip flights on Sunday & Wednesday, from July 1 to October 18.

Tickets for the new Denver-North Bend flights are available at or by calling (800) 864-8331.
