Women’s and Men’s Revamped Lines are Stylish, Colorful and High Tech
Trendy styling, bright colors and high tech fabrics are the fashion-forward anchors of Antigua’s new Spring 2015 women’s and men’s collections. The sumptuous yet classic designs are appealing alternatives for golfers who value sporty clothing that’s wearable both on and off the links.
That’s especially so for the Arizona-based company’s women’s collection, which features a dynamic mix of neon colors with black and white that are presented in fresh and fashionable styles.
“There’s so much lifestyle apparel out in the marketplace right now,” says Antigua designer Danielle Dellios. “Many customers are looking for something to wear on the course but also to social events, out running errands, etc. That in mind, I combined a professional-yet-relaxed look for the women’s line, which plays with the idea of a non-conventional polo silhouette.”
The new women’s collection combines trim details and flirty necklines with soft and stretchy fabrics, in multiple textures and contents that give an inventive feel to the garments. This includes non-traditional polo styles—such as Envy with its soccer-style collar and neckline and sporty color-blocked silhouette, and Zoom, a sleeveless mini-stripe polo that blends polyester, cotton and spandex that is revealing without being inappropriate.
Men can look forward to an equally splendid new look. According to Antigua spokesperson Sean Gregg, the line is underscored in defined and refined lines and angles, which range from attractive pin-striping to contrasting side chest prints.
“This season's collection is inspired by linear cut-and-sew body details,” said Gregg. “For example, the Linear line emulates the look of rhythm and speed, and Psych embraces a contrasting, full-front honeycomb print pattern in color against neutral backgrounds.”
Both collections are loaded with pleasing, Desert Dry Performance technology. Antigua’s polyester and poly/cotton blends absorb and wick moisture quickly and evenly to keep golfers comfortable and dry. Antigua says its garments are steeped in cotton-like comfort yet offer the easy-care advantages of today’s better-performing materials.
