DU Sweeps Summit League Golfer of the Week Honors

ELMHURST, Ill. – The University of Denver's Patrick Frodigh and Tonje Daffinrud were named The Summit League Golfers of the Week for their performances March 19-25.

MALE GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Patrick Frodigh
Frodigh, a freshman from Westwood, Mass., collects his first career Golfer of the Week award after shooting two rounds under par and leading Denver at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational. The freshman fired a 54-hole 213 (73-69-71) to finish in a tie for 22nd place out of 81 competitors. His second round 69 was a career-low as he finished the tournament at even par.

Frodigh is the second DU Pioneer to be named the league's Golfer of the Week this year. Senior Ole Ramsnes was twice so honored (Feb. 19 and March 12).

FEMALE GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Tonje Daffinrud
A senior from Larvik, Norway, Daffinrud earns her third honor of the season after leading No. 38 Denver at the LSU Tiger Golf Classic last week. She shot a 2-over par 290 (76-72-70) in the 54-hole tournament to finish in a tie for fifth place. Daffinrud, ranked No. 11 in the nation according to Golfstat, collected her fifth-straight top-10 finish and now has four top-five finishes this season. She also fired a 72 in a duel at Tulane prior to the LSU Tiger Golf Classic, recording a 72.5 stroke average of the week.
