Bunker Tips – Lakewood Golf and Haven Moses

Bunker Tips with Lakewood Golf and Haven Moses
Broncos Ring of Fame member Haven Moses gets ready to hit out of the bunker as Fox Hollow and Homestead Head Golf Pro Craig Parzybok gives tips.

In the third installment of Lakewood Golf’s 6-part series, Fox Hollow and Homestead Head Golf Pro Craig Parzybok shares tips for getting out of the bunker. Among those joining him is Denver Broncos Ring of Fame wide receiver Haven Moses along with Lakewood’s Kim Montague and our own associate publisher Chris Phillips.

It’s no secret that many amateurs struggle out of the bunker. The occasional great shot out of the bunker can leave you with the feeling that it’s so easy to get out the sand only to skull the next one 30 yards over the green or duff one back into the sand. In reality, though you never like to be in the sand, it can be simple to consistently have success from the bunker. Watch the video below and learn the following from Parzybok:

  1. How and why to envision your ball in the sand like a cherry on top of a new carton of ice cream
  2. Where to hit and how the ball should come out of the sand
  3. Why you need to swing harder out of the bunker
