Antigua Debuts Spring ’14 Women’s Collection

Hello, spring! Hello, style!

ANTIGUA GOLF

With spring in full effect, designers are anxiously unveiling the newest trends in golf, leaving us lusting for each and every piece. I’m not talking equipment. I’m talking fashion. After all, it’s not about how you play, but how you look—am I right?

Whether on clothing or home accessories, neon is everywhere this year.  Antigua women’s golf collection designer Danielle Dellios’ spring collection is no exception. Incorporating hot pinks and bold blues into even the smallest details, the average women’s polo shirt just got a lot more exciting. With options like the Limitless, a solid, heather gray polo with a “dye-cut neon zipper” and the Breathe, a navy, vertical-striped polo with colored stitching, Antigua has created a polo to match almost any personality. Ombré is also another trend appearing more and more this season. Complete with metallic embellishments on the shoulder, the Refresh is a fun take on the ombré technique, while integrating an array of materials from cotton to Antigua’s proprietary Desert Dry Technology, which purports to consume moisture fast and effectively so players can remain comfortable in varying conditions.

If you like showing off your arms, the Sleeveless Gem (pictured left) and Genesis are great options for a fun, stylish look. The Sleeveless Gem is a patterned polo that comes in this season’s signature colors—Citrine, Candy, Sherbet and Grapeade—but is also available in classic black and white. The Genesis incorporates Antigua’s new neon shades, while contrasting it with white, to create a striped V-neck sleeveless, with a bright collar. There’s also the Soiree, a line-patterned, neon sleeveless, that makes a bold, unexpected change in color near the bottom of the shirt.

Not only are the clothes stylish but also practical and comfortable. Antigua utilizes its Desert Dry Technology in almost all shirts, and some styles, like the Icon and Frill, employ a lighter weight version called the Desert Dry Xtra-Lite (D2XL).

Whether it’s the neon stitching, ombré stripes, or scooped necklines, Antigua’s spring collection is right on par with the seasons’ latest trends, leaving us ever more excited for the start of golf season.
