3 Indoor Putting Drills to Practice at Home

Drills and tips to improve your putting anytime, especially during the winter.

The winter months bring with them the holidays, the snow, and the chance for many outdoor-loving Coloradan's to swap their sticks for their skis and snowboards. But the snow on the ground doesn't mean that golfers can't improve their game during the winter. Ken Martin, Instructor for the Keiser University College of Golf, illustrates three simple putting drills to try indoors at any time by using a PVC pipe, a yardstick, and a poker chip…and no, that isn't the setup to a bad MacGyver-themed golf instruction series (though it gets us thinking!).

These drills are great for golfers to try (even year-round) and provide instant feedback on your putting stroke. You won't need a PGA instructor, a green, or even a hole with these trips to help gain consistency and a proper putting stroke. Watch the video below to see the following drills demonstrated and what to look for while you practice them at home or in your office.

– Putting a PVC pipe

– Putting along a yardstick

– Putting a poker chip
